“The general population doesn’t know what is happening, and it doesn’t even know that it doesn’t know” (Noam Chomsky).

Here we deal with issues that affect the day to day lives and living conditions of every Sierra Leonean.

Sierra Leoneans have been grappling with basic issues that seem to have no solutions since independence, issues including but not limited to, government institutions and systems, governance, daily livelihoods, and citizens’ responsibilities.

For a stable nation that adequately builds resilient communities, citizens’ involvement in all aspects of society and its discourse is a *MUST*.

For over 60 years since independence, majority of Sierra Leoneans continue to live in abject poverty and being denied of their human dignity. There are communities that still do not enjoy electricity; in some other communities,  electricity is still heavily rationed, and communities suffer extended periods of power shortages; Clean pipe borne water supply is almost inexistent; citizens get water from Water Wells in cities and towns in a country with, at least, six months of rains and a lot of rivers and the Atlantic Ocean which almost encircles the country; sanitation facilities are almost non-existent for many Sierra Leoneans and with adverse implications for their health;  corruption is rampant at every level and with state resources benefitting only the few and not the many; our youths are exposed to drug use as many do not have alternative to survive. THE LIST IS ENDLESS and there seems to be no end in sight to the struggle of many Sierra Leoneans.

Are you therefore satisfied with the trajectory of Sierra Leone since you know yourself and the country? If not; join us in the conversation and tell us what you think. Tell us how we can hold ourselves and our leaders accountable. Bring up new and innovative ideas/ways on how we can overcome and/or solve our stubborn/perennial challenges. Note that the input of every Sierra Leone loving citizen is welcomed and appreciated. The country is ours and only Sierra Leoneans can find lasting solutions to our age-old problems.
